Spring Arbor College

In 1998 I was asked to produce a video celebrating Spring Arbor Colleges 125th anniversary. The video required me to do some investigative work to find people to interview and pictures to tell some of the stories.  I spent a lot of time in the college library basement looking for pictures, and I got a new appreciation for video research.

On top of making the video, it was great getting to know many of the incredible people I was able to interview for this video.  Rick Herter is an aviation painter working out of Kalamazoo, MI.  I love art, and some of his airplane paintings hand in the Smithsonian and other government offices all over the country.  Lorraine Whiteman was full of amazing stories about her connection to the college, and when we finished the interview she invited my wife and I out for dinner to keep talking.  People with real stories are what make a video good.

Spring Arbor is also where I went to school and learned how to make great videos.
