SELECT WORK FROM SUMMERFEST SHOW
In celebration with Pigeon's SummerFest festival, TurnerArts and the Women's Club of Pigeon, showcased the work of local artists in the annual SummerFest Art Show. Artists of all ages and abilities, displayed many beautiful and creative pieces of art. Although the show only ran from July 20-22, select pieces (many available for purchase) are on display until August 21 and can be viewed during open gallery hours.
DREW DEMING WATERCOLORS
Watercolorist, Drew Deming's work was showcased in the gallery from May-July. Drew grew up near the Saginaw Bay, growing to love the beauty and tranquility of nature and coastal living and is reflected in his artwork. Drew started painting in high school, and rediscovered it while going through some health issues. He now currently sells his work at art shows, retail stores, online and through commission. THUMB PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP 2018 EXHIBITION
The Thumb Photography Group is showed their first group exhibition at the TurnerArts Studio & Gallery. There were a wide array of subjects from the following local photographers; Casey Turner, Gayle Wooster, Debra Polega, Katie Ziel, Brad Iskow, Ashley Schulz, Sue Courliss, Brian Hazard, Clouter Stuart, Bill Diller, and Carol Schadd. The exhibit opened March 16 with many coming out to view the show.
Husband and wife team, Eric and Alicia Lantzer out of Gagetown, MI, created "The Reclaimed Nation." They dismantle old barns and reclaim the lumber to sell and make beautiful weathered furniture, custom signs and other unique pieces. Check out their Facebook page here.
